Project Goldroom: Final

I have decided to abandon project goldroom because Pokeroom has decided to abandon me.
This means I give up trying to claim the 500 dollar reload bonus. This is really gay but hey lets just think of it as money I never had.
I managed to be up a little over 300 by the end of this project.
I did lose 150 on Stars however.
This means about 150 profit in 3 weeks... That is just completely unacceptable.
I guess I should give myself a little slack because I've been in the process of finding a job and things have been very chaotic.
However, I do need to finish strong for the month.
I cashed out 2075 from Pokeroom to Neteller. I have 1250 in there right now. I'm gonna cash out 100 and put the rest (1150) back into Stars. This will give me a full 2000 on Stars.
For the rest of the month I plan to play on Pokerstars. This will be 8 days of intense Poker. I plan to make 500 dollars in this period, playing both SNGs and Cash, 4 tabling.
Once October is over I am going to set a 2 month project to try to finish the year strong.

So for now here is where I stand.

Project Gold: Day 13

I have been playing pretty much zero Poker since my last post except for a short session today.
The reason is because I have been busy with job search and when I have free time my mind is out of focus. I also wasn't sure which site to play on... even though I shoulda just played on stars to gain points towards my ipod.
So I finally got a reply from Pokeroom... they say that American players can still play on their site, they just can't deposit... This is smart because most americans will eventually burn through their entire account anyway. What this means is that I can go ahead and keep playing there until I clear the Bonus (continue project Goldroom).

I think my mind is more cleared now now that my wave of interviews are over (waiting to get called back). That means I can finally play more poker again and try to get back in some kind of groove.

Project Goldroom: Day7

I have to admit I have been very mentally out of it. My TV set came in and it's no good so now I have to return it. On top of that there's the whole job-search thing which is stressing me out a lot. My GF and I are also going through a break-up...
So basically my mind is not fit to play poker.
I tried to log in a few sessions... didnt play bad or anything... just got freaking coolered HARD: KK vs AA a FEW TIMES, AQ vs KK on Q44 board... etc.
I also had to cash out 1150 from my Neteller to pay for bills and have some extra money for the next month... without that money I would be broke.
So here's where I stand.

I signed up for a bunch of pokersites... I'm probably going to spread that amoutn of money I have from Neteller out by this friday. I do not have any specific goals for now besides clear the Pokeroom Bonus. As for now I need to get other aspects of my life straighten out before I can get back to playing Poker seriously. Project Goldroom: Day4

After last night's post, I logged in for a solid session from 11:30 pm to 2:30 am. Went from being down over 150 to being up about 200.
Tonight I went to my aunt's house and played some on my laptop while sitting in front of the TV and managed to donk off about 100... leaving me with only about 120 profit for the day.

*I think from now on if I want to play on Laptop I have to go hide away from other people to some corner and not play in the middle of everything because that can affect my play.

I haven't played my morning sessions lately. Tomorrow I play to log in for at least a two hour session in the morning when I wake up, prolly from 10 to 12.

Project Goldroom: Day3

I skipped a day, and today I played only a very short session. Lost a huge pot with KK vs AA so most of my winnings were gone... At least still up a little.

Tomorrow I plan to clear at least 300 points... gonna start playing more from now on. Been out of it lately for personal reasons.

Project Goldroom: Day1

After much hesitation (I needed to shake off my Partypoker woes)... I finally logged in for a 2.5 hour session on Pokeroom. I played 3 full ring tables of .50/1 NL. I played pretty Tight, and didn't force too much action. The full ring tables at this limit are pretty soft so I got to see a lot of flops with drawing hands. Overall I am up nearly 200 for the session. I think I'll just stick to playing ABC Poker on this site at their full ring tables as I claim the Bonus. It's less stressful.

I got a long ways to go... if I can average half as much as I did in this session every session I would be very very happy. Gonna try to clear a lot more points tomorrow.

Partypoker=Gay

I finished clearing my 100 dollar bonus on PartyPoker.
My BR by the end of it was 444 includign the Bonus. Which means I lost over 150 trying to claim the bonus. LoL
I do not enjoy playing there... I have no read on half the players because half are noobs so I think they are all noobs... which causes me to call all value bets on rivers because I always think they are bluffing lol. It doesnt help either when I am finally up to lose to two three outers... same old story.

Anyway... my next goal is to clear the 500 Bonus on Pokeroom... I'm going to call it Project Goldroom. Starting Pokeroom BR is 1757.
Due to the PokerBan Scare.... I cashed out aprox 2000 on Pokerstars just in case... Leaving me with a Pokerstars BR of 1000. In the next few weeks I plan to play both on Pokerstars and Pokeroom Simultaneously. I plan to play at least 3 hours a day and at least an hour on each site 3 or 4 tabling.

Outlook on October and Poker Ban

It has been a disappointing weekend. My 500 Deposit on PartyPoker has shrunk to 300 (-200), and I am only half way done clearing the Bonus.
I deposited 1000 on Pokeroom, and just this morning donked off 44 in SNGs.
I am getting cold deck most of the time, and am playing with less confidence because of my recent slump.
It seems to be a repeating pattern... which stalls my progress. I have just been out of it the past few days... when I do play poker it is more because I feel like I have to rather then it is because I want to.
This has to change.
My goal is focus on PartyPoker and just play through the slump and clear my Bonus.
Once that is done I am going to set a playing schedule for myself to keep me playing and allow my BR to increase at a steady pace.

I have no idea what is going to happen as far as the future of online poker is concerned. I am probably going to stop BonusWhoring after I cash out of PartyPoker and finish my GoldRoom project. I think I will just play on PokerStars until I can't play any longer... we'll just have to roll with it I guess. Hopefully there will be ways around whatever bills they pass.
If not, Lucky for me I have a college degree. Once I have a job things won't be so bad.
