Work vs. Poker Week2Day1

I did not play on Sunday because I had to do a lot of things with my dad. Not playing when you're hot is just like throwing money away... but it's ok considering I rested up a little bit on Sunday.

Last week was the first week of my Work vs. Poker project. It was a very successful Poker week overall. I really like the way I am playing right now. I will try my best to keep up the consistant play and more importantly put in the hours. From now til the end of the year is just gonna be straight up grinding- nothign fancy, 4 table .50/1 NL.

I almost did not play today because I was super tired and sleepy... but I pushed myself to play a short 2 hour session from 11PM to 1AM. Went down a bit early... but I kept rebuying. Then I was up about 100 until the very end when I doubled up on a 200 pot with AQ on QTx board... noob bigstack put me all in (after I putmself half all in).... with KQ. Ended being up almost 250 for the day.

Some aspects of work is starting to suck big time. So I'm kinda glad Poker is kicking work's ass.

Work: 0-1
Poker: 1-0

Here are the stats for

Week2Day1

Work vs. Poker Week1Day6

I didn't think I would do it... but I did play 6 hours today, from 8PM to 2 AM. It was a very roller coaster day I got stacked like three times, but stacked a bunch of other people in the process. I ended being up a little over 100. Which is great. I can't complain because there were points where I was down over 100.

I am about 100 FPPs away from getting Silverstar Status already... At this rate I'm definitely going to get Goldstar Status by the end of the month. I can't wait until I have enough for an IPod. It would be a nice reward for my hard work.

Here are the updated stats:
Week1Day6
Work: +461.60 Hours Spent: 40
Poker: +786.50 Hours Spent: 14

Work vs. Poker Week1Day5

I am finished with my first week of work! It's time to Party!

Well... more like it's time to Poker!

I logged in for a real solid two hour session on Pokerstars today (11 to 1) four tabling 100 NL shorthanded....made about 300! This has become my bread and butter... I'm just gonna play this for awhile until I am way overolled for the next level.

So here are the updated stats.

Week1Day5
Work: 461.60 Hours Spent: 40
Poker: 663.45 Hours Spent: 8

This is a pretty good week for Poker... So I don't expect the hourly rate to be this ridiculously high... but still, like I said... I KNOW I make Much more hourly playing Poker. But I guess the weekly paychecks help a lot with the variance.
So we got two more days to go and Work's Net income is stuck at 461... but hey anything can happen in Poker right?
I'm going to get in 12 hours of play this weekend... making it 20 hours of Poker per week.

WORK vs. POKER

I finished out October with a strong performance... increasing my BR to over 2800.
I also got my first ever Full Time job working at WellsFargo Brokerage... I start out as a lowly assistant and the pay is crappy but the growth potential is awesome.

This job is going to affect my life greatly.
My Freetime is now limited to the time between 6PM to around 12AM on weekdays. But I will still have my Weekends Free.
This means less time for social life/poker/workout... so yeah... something's gotta give.

I recently broke up with my GF... and so now I am just all alone... not a bad time to turn to a workaholic...

The sad thing is I know I can make much more hourly playing poker...but not having a real job is just not gonna sit well with my family... so if I want to pursue my Poker dreams... I'll have to make time for Poker, pretty much as a secret second job.

So this is the plan: I am going to try my hardest to match my Paychecks with my Poker winnings. From now on I am going to keep weekly stats of Poker vs. Work... Instead of a running score we will have a week by week contest. Each round will begin Monday and end Sunday night.

Week1, Day3:
Poker: +351 Hours Spent: 6
Work: +276.96* Hours Spent: 24

*this is a before tax, before benefits number... the actual paycheck is gonna be even shittier lol.
